Although you'd expect Blake Lively in a swimsuit to turn up the pressure on the mostly male audience, viewers of The Shallows will have other reasons to do so. In it, we will be trembling for the life of the grumpy surfer Nancy, in whose role this American actress got into, because she is attacked by a great white shark while surfing. Her summer movie hit, which is being compared to the cult film Žrel, will be the reason that we will be afraid to swim in the sea again after a long time!
"We're not going to the sea this summer!" This is probably what most people will say to themselves when they leave the cinema after watching the movie The Shallows, just like most did not dare to go for a carefree swim in the sea the next day after watching Spielberg's cult film Throat.
Time will tell whether the film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra will live up to the mentioned classic, but "mono" horror movie with Blake Lively (The Handmaid's Tale, Savages, Green Lantern) as Nancy, handsome surfer girl, who attacks her while riding the waves on a lonely shore great white shark and caught on a small chert just a spit from the shore trembling for his life, when a bloodthirsty carnage is circling around her (she has beaten up two surfers before), she definitely has the right attachments. Therefore, Danger from the Deep is rightly compared to a horror film Throat, which caused real panic among viewers at the time.
