The Space Between Us is a space adventure that tells the story of a boy who, after growing up on Mars for 16 years, comes to Earth to find his father and find out where he belongs. Peter Chelsom's film stars Asa Butterfield and Britt Robertson.
The Space Between Us is an original story about a boy who is 'flooded' to Earth from Mars. When a group of astronauts go to Mars, one of the astronauts on the red planet she reveals that she is pregnant. She gives birth to a son, but she herself dies due to complications during childbirth, without first revealing who the father is.

16 years later, Gardner Elliot (Asa Butterfield) a teenager growing up on Mars (raised by a group of remaining astronauts) who wants to find his father. While researching his origins, Gardner and Tulsa (Britt Robertson), gives birth to an online friendship for girls from Colorado. When he returns to Earth with the astronauts and goes exploring the wonders he had read about on Mars, finds that his organs are not used to Earth's atmosphere. Therefore, she is forced to go to a medical facility, but she escapes from it and goes on the run with Tulsa. In addition to Robertson and Butterfield, they also appear in the film Gary Oldman and Carla Gugino.
