Triglav Sherpa, a beer brewed by Slovenians on Triglav (2,864 m above sea level), is the highest brewed beer in Europe (the highest brewery in Europe, Bier Vision Monstein in Davos, is located at 1,560 meters above sea level). The beer was brewed by a team of five beer lovers, who brought all the necessary equipment and raw materials for brewing beer to the top of Slovenia's highest mountain on foot.
Five Slovenians brewed beer on Triglav, which is supposed to be the highest brewed beer in Europe. Under the name beer Triglav Sherpa (named in honor of carrying heavy equipment) signed a five-member team Beer writing, namely Andrej Colarič, Davor Mišmaš, Luka Pepelnik, Simon Kostomaj and Matej Pilat. They started their journey on Pokljuka with all the necessary equipment. Everyone dragged along between 12 and 15 kilograms of equipment.
At the cottage on Dolič (2151 m above sea level) at 4 o'clock in the morning (they set off the day before and slept in between) heated the water to 50 degrees Celsius and continued the ascent towards Triglav with it. After two hours, the beer was brewed at the top. They used it for beer Slovenian hop Bobek, and for a mountain aftertaste they added mother's breath. They chilled the beer with cold stones they found next to the Aljaž tower.

Is it possible to try Triglav Sherpa somewhere? Yes, on Pivopis's brewery tour September 10, 2016, but only if the yeasts will work fast enough. They will perform for one bottle auction, and the proceeds will go to charity.
The highest beer so far was brewed by the Americans, who in 1998 brewed it at a height of 4400 meters on Mt. Elbert. The highest brewery in the world - the Tibetan brewery Lhasa Brewery Company - lies at 3650 meters above sea level.
