Moving to another country for your career can be scary at first, but it can improve your life in the long run. What do the findings of a new survey on emigration show? Which 10 countries do women swear by and why?
The thought of moving abroad for a career is a bit scarier for women than for men – website data InterNations, which is also the largest expatriate community in the world, show that women are less likely to choose to move abroad for career (25 %) compared to men (38 %). Namely 28 % of women state that they moved abroad for education, love or their partner's work, they write in the research entitled The world through the eyes of an expat.
These results should come as no surprise, but they believe there is a way to encourage women to focus on their own careers rather than their partner's. Thus, 8,855 women who moved abroad were asked about their satisfaction with employment and the quality of their stay in order to find out which are the best countries for living and working abroad. And these are the results of the survey.
10. SPAIN
Women who moved to Spain ranked the country third in terms of quality of life (Taiwan first, Portugal second) because it is considered a great place to enjoy, offering plenty of opportunities to relax. As the women report, people in Spain work to live and do not just live to work. In the context of career opportunities, this country was ranked 10th - 49 % of women believe that the Spanish economy is stable, 51 % claims that they have guaranteed job security.
9. AUSTRALIA
Women (70 %) are satisfied with the fact that they manage to balance their private life and work here (in the global average, only 60 % people thrive on it). 60 % he also claims that they earn more than they would in their home country and are satisfied with their work. Australia is characterized as a country with favorable weather and nature that is worth exploring.
8. CZECH REPUBLIC
The country, which is close to our place and is a popular excursion destination among Slovenians, was on the list of the 10th best countries to work for women, who on average 11 % more satisfied with their life in the Czech Republic compared to men. Women report (83 %), that they are satisfied with their work, easily advance in their workplace (78 %) and that they can coordinate work and private life (79 %).
7. SINGAPORE
Singapore is synonymous with technological progress, which is also confirmed by the women who have moved to the city of the future. A third of women are managers or employees in technology companies. This city is said to be family-friendly, so women report that they are most satisfied with the possibility of balancing private life and work obligations.
6. OMAN
According to the women, life in Oman is very easy: people are friendly and they have a lot of time to relax. Almost all women say that they moved to this city for a career. They are satisfied with their personal finances and quality of life.
5. COSTA RICA
Costa Rica is considered a lucky destination, and women report that they can quickly find friends, places to relax and feel at home in this city. From an economic point of view, it is only 19 % of women dissatisfied with the economy, but they are said to be satisfied mainly with personal finances.
4. MEXICO
Like Costa Rica, Mexico is also a country in which women should find happiness and relax. Friendly people should make you feel at home there. Women report being satisfied with their career prospects and personal finances. 40 % reported that they moved to Mexico for financial reasons. According to the data from the survey, Mexico is considered the second country in the world with the lowest cost of living (the first place belongs to Bulgaria).
3. TAIWAN
Women who moved to Taiwan for work are more satisfied than men, with more than two-thirds of women saying they can advance in their jobs and have guaranteed job security. They are also satisfied with the ability to balance their private life and work obligations (77 %).
Women also report that Taiwanese are very positive and friendly, so you can negotiate with them as long as you do a good job. The attitude towards the Thai economy is positive.
2. ECUADOR
Women report that they are satisfied with job security and the possibility of advancement. The quality of life should be high, as the place offers them personal satisfaction and many opportunities for relaxation. Women appreciate the possibility of balancing their private life and work commitments. The cost of living is low (the country ranked sixth), women are also satisfied with their personal finances.
1. BAHRAIN
Bahrain is considered the most popular destination among women (and also men) who report (88 %), that they are satisfied with quality life in this place. Women rated the possibility of advancement and job security the highest. This is the city in which they feel at home (Mexico is the second), because that is where they found their personal happiness.
Bahrain is also the third most favorable country for schooling and the first for family life.
