How real is this - it proves that there are a lot of movie stars who have unexpectedly lost their lives during filming or production. They were legends who were etched in our memory through the incredible interpretation of movie characters.
There are times when players die like this tragic and unexpected, that whatever they leave and whatever we can keep is theirs an artistic work, their movies. Here are some sad stories of popular movie stars who are no longer with us. It's at the end a very young but very talented star, whose films are and will remain legendary.
Heath Ledger - 2009
The Dark Knight star was on the set of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus in January 2008 when he collapsed and died in his New York apartment. The cause of death is said to be "prescription drug abuse or misuse and a combination that led to poisoning."
Anton Yelchin – 2016
Anton, who became famous in the Star Trek film series, died a horrible death. He was on his way to practice when his Jeep Grand Cherokee slammed into a utility pole. The chest injuries were fatal.
Paul Walker - 2015
The Fast and Furious franchise has lost its biggest star in a car accident. Paul and his friend were driving a Porsche when it hit a lamppost and two trees before bursting into flames. Both died at the scene of the accident.
Brandon Lee – 1993
Bruce Lee's son was only 28 years old when he died on the set of The Crow (1994). The gun they shoot him with in the movie had real bullets instead of blanks. Brandon was shot in the abdomen and died of severe bleeding at the hospital.

The famous actor Bruce Lee died of severe brain swelling after finishing filming his last film, In the Dragon's Nest (1973).
Marilyn Monroe - 1962
On August 5, 1962, the diva Marilyn Monroe died at her home from an overdose of prescription drugs. She was filming Something's Got to Give.
Oliver Reed – 1999
The great Oliver Reed died during a break in the filming of Gladiator (2000). The cause of death was a heart attack.
Philip Seymour Hoffman - 2014
Philip was 46 when he died of a drug overdose in February 2014. Before that, he had not touched drugs for 20 years. He died during the filming of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
John Ritter - 2003
John Ritter was known for his roles in the films Problem Child (1990), Bride of Chucky (1998), Broken Santa (2003) and the series 8 Simple Rules (2002–2005). He collapsed on the set of the latter. The cause of death was a rupture of the aorta.
Andy Whitfield - 2011
Andy, a cancer survivor, died of a relapse just 18 months after his diagnosis. He is known for his starring role in the series Spartak.
Clark Gable – 1961
Clark Gable is a movie legend and a big part of Hollywood classics. He died of a heart attack while filming The Misfits (1961). By his side in the film we can see Marilyn Monroe, who died less than a year after him.
Brittany Murphy - 2009
Brittany was once a teenage movie star who quickly transformed into an iconic drama actress. She died of pneumonia just months after completing her last film, Something Wicked (2014). The film was released 6 years after her death.
River Phoenix - 1993
The twenty-three-year-old talented actor died of a drug overdose. His last film Dark Blood (2012) was released posthumously, 20 years after his death.
