11 dangers you are exposed to when wearing the wrong bra size

Choose the right one as it can ease your stress and boost your confidence.

Do you want a bra that will lift your breasts? Or a sports bra that provides support during sports activities?

When measuring, pay particular attention to braces and baskets. The former must fit perfectly, but must not cut into the skin. The back of the bra should not rise, but should remain in the same line as the front. The baskets should fill the breasts, but they should not boil out of them. Also, the basket must be completely filled, with no empty space. The basic function of a bra is to provide adequate support to the bust, while at the same time taking care of the already overburdened spine.

If you are not wearing the right size, you are not giving your breasts the right support they need and this alone can cause some side effects.

1. Notches on your shoulders

You know the marks the straps leave when the bra is too tight? If you wear a bra that's too small, you run the risk of the straps causing long-term shoulder indentations.

2. Abrasions on the skin

Wearing a tight bra all day can make you feel uncomfortable. Grip not only puts a strain on your well-being, but also on your skin. Due to the constant pressure on it, redness or even abrasions may appear on the skin under your breasts.

4. Chest pain

Such pain can bring you additional worries and questions related to your health, as you wonder if something serious is going on in your body. Due to the incorrect choice of bra, you can feel from general pain to sharp pain in a certain part of the chest.

Wearing a tight bra all day can make you feel uncomfortable.

5. Pain in the back

This is also often caused by a bra that is too small. It puts pressure on your ribs and shoulders, causing back pain. This problem is mainly experienced by women with larger breasts.

6. Pressure on the ribs

The pressure caused by a tight bra on the ribs can cause pain in them.

7. Increase

This is a problem that can occur when wearing a bra that is too big and loose. Such a bra does not give your breasts the support they need, which can cause the fragile breast tissue to stretch over time.

8. Pain in the neck

Neck pain can also be caused by an incorrect bra size. If you wear a tight bra, i.e. one that is too small, your breasts do not have the correct support, which causes skin chafing. In this way, the weight of the chest is distributed over the shoulders, thereby increasing the load on the shoulders and neck.

Neck pain can also be caused by an incorrect bra size.

9. Poor support

Wearing the wrong bra size can cause you to have an unhealthy body posture, which can cause various types of musculoskeletal pain and subsequent discomfort. The problem could also be that your bra is too wide, too big and doesn't really provide enough support for your bust. Being hunched over due to bad posture makes you look insecure, among other things. Choose the right bra and straighten up.

10. Headaches

If you have strange headaches and can't find the cause, your bra may be to blame. If your chest isn't supported, then the muscles in your upper body have to work much harder to compensate. When your back and neck hurt because of an improperly fitting bra, you can also get a headache.

11. Shortness of breath

If you're out of breath when you exercise, it could mean your bra is too tight. It works somewhat the same as a corset in that it restricts the movement of the chest and makes it difficult to breathe comfortably. Not getting enough oxygen can cause a lack of energy and strain on your muscles during exercise. As soon as you take off your bra, you'll feel better.

12. Muscle stiffness/stiffness

Wearing a tight bra that restricts your movement can make your back muscles stiff. This also limits the movement of the spine, not just the movement of the chest.

If you have strange headaches and can't find the cause, your bra may be to blame.

Worryingly, 80 percent of women carry wrong bra size! Maybe you too are wearing the wrong size and don't even realize it.

See how to choose the right bra size

1. measure the circumference of the breast at the height of the nipples and, based on this, determine the basket (A, B, C...).
2. measure the circumference directly under the breasts and thus determine the bra size (75, 80, 85...).

Then enter the information in this calculator and you will get the correct bra size!
