The December festive atmosphere in Ljubljana would not be the same without Animateka. This year's 11th international animated film festival will once again delight children and children at heart with a unique atmosphere in Kinodvor and the Slovenian Cinematheque.
December in Ljubljana is not just a fairytale because of the beautiful decoration of the city, the smell of mulled wine and roasted almonds, and the gifts waiting for us at home. There would be no true fairy tale without Animateka, the festival of international animated film that is taking place this year for the eleventh time.

The main competition program will feature 37 films, and this year as many as 50 will be presented in the student competition program. In the competition program Slon, which is aimed at children, children will be able to watch 25 films, and in the non-competition Panorama section 24.
Of course, it will take place in parallel with film productions rich companion program conversations with authors, workshops, lectures, get-togethers and exhibitions. In the Kinodvora gallery and in the shop windows in the city center, the cartoon characters of the Japanese comic artist, illustrator and designer will bring smiles to our faces. Akinori Oishi, which will come to Ljubljana thanks to Stripburger and Animateka. Akinori, who is also a member of the festival jury this year and is the author of this year's Animateka posters, is famous for his "happy Aki smile", which we will surely see during his stay in Ljubljana in December.
