Between April 17 and 21, the contemporary performing arts festival EXODOS will take place in Ljubljana for the 19th time. This year's edition of the festival will take us to the Black Continent under the title Future Archives: Focus on Africa.
Between April 17 and 21 theater stages and other cultural venues in the capital will be occupied by a wide variety of artists, dancers, musicians and other creators. For a few days, Ljubljana will breathe again with one of the oldest and most important festivals of contemporary performing arts in Slovenia and the region: EXODOS. This year, the festival will be held for the nineteenth time, its title Future Archives: Africa Focus suggests that this year's festival program will take us to the Black Continent. Over the course of five days, more than twenty events will show us why "the world is catching up with Africa, not the other way around" (Achille Mbembe/Rem Koolhaas).

Dance and theater performances, concerts, photography exhibitions, lectures, talks, films, workshops and a bazaar will take place on seven locations around the capital: in the Cultural Center Španski Borci, Dance Theater of Ljubljana, Old City Elektrarna - Elektro Ljubljana, Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, Slovenian Youth Theatre, Baobab Studio and the Trubar House of Literature. 19. EXODOS will also work for charity this year, as one euro from every ticket sold will go to UNICEF's program to help orphans in Chad.
