When Ducati unveils a new motorcycle, the motorcycle world takes notice. But when it takes its aggressive V4 engine and puts it in a cruiser? That's when a real moto revolution begins! The 2025 Ducati XDiavel V4 is the next generation of Ducati power cruiser, combining the performance of a superbike with the ergonomics and style of a cruiser. With 168 horsepower (123 kW) at 10,750 rpm, a 0-100 km/h time of less than three seconds, advanced electronics and premium components, Ducati once again pushes the boundaries of what's possible on two wheels.

The biggest innovation compared to its predecessor is the engine. Ducati is famous for 1,262cc Testastretta DVT L-twin replaced with 1,158-cc V4 Granturismo engine derived from technology developed for MotoGP. This engine develops 168 hp (123 kW) at 10,750 rpm and offers 126 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpmA special feature of the V4 Granturismo engine is also responsiveness and smooth operation, as Ducati uses a special system deactivation of the last two cylinders at low revs, which reduces fuel consumption and improves engine cooling. The Ducati XDiavel V4 is special, of course, because of a host of other details.

Compared to the V4 from the Panigale, this version is adapted for longer journeys and a more comfortable ride, while maintaining top performance. In addition, it has extended service interval, since the valves should only be adjusted after 60,000 km, which is exceptional in the world of motorcycles.

A cruiser with superbike acceleration

The Ducati XDiavel V4 remains true to its origins – a cruiser with a sporty nature. One of the key elements that contributes to its exceptional acceleration is huge 240mm rear tire, which provides excellent grip under heavy acceleration. Ducati has also installed Power Launch system, which optimizes power transfer to the rear wheel and enables explosive starts without unnecessary wheel spin.

New for excellent handling monocoque aluminum chassis, which contributes to better rigidity and reduced weight. The motorcycle weighs 223 kg dry weight, which is 5 kg less than the previous version. Ducati has also adjusted the steering geometry to make the XDiavel V4 easier to handle both at low speeds and when riding dynamically through corners.

Technology that adapts the motorcycle to the rider

The Ducati XDiavel V4 is packed with cutting-edge electronics that allow the motorcycle to adapt to different conditions. The rider has four driving modes: Sport, Touring, Urban and WetEach mode adjusts engine response, traction control (DTC) operation, brake assist and front wheel lift control (DWC) operation.

They are also available three different engine powers, which allow for a more relaxed or aggressive ride. Ducati has equipped the motorcycle with Brembo Stylema brake system, which provides superior braking power. At the front are dual 330mm discs with four-piston radial calipers, and single at the back 265mm reel.

The driver monitors all key information on 6.9-inch TFT screen, which offers advanced features such as smartphone connectivity, navigation and the Ducati Multimedia System, which allows you to take calls and play music. The handlebar controls are illuminated, making it easier to operate even at night.

Eye-catching design

The XDiavel V4 remains true to its signature look – long, low and aggressive. Ducati offers the motorcycle in two colour combinations – Burning Red and Black Lava, which emphasize the muscular shape. Also stand out are the new four exhaust tips, which provide the distinctive sound of the V4 engine. Ducati has maintained a minimalist yet distinctive lighting signature with LED lights at the front and rear, giving the motorcycle a futuristic look.

Price and market launch

The Ducati XDiavel V4 will be available in summer 2025, with a price in Europe of around 30.000 €That's not a lot, but for a motorcycle that combines brutal power, cutting-edge technology and uncompromising style, it will certainly find its buyers among fans of exclusive two-wheelers.

Final thought: a cruiser that knows no compromises

With this model, Ducati has once again proven that it can push the boundaries and create something unique. The XDiavel V4 is not a classic cruiser and it is not a classic superbike - it is a perfect symbiosis of both worlds. If you are a rider who wants comfort but does not want to sacrifice performance, then the XDiavel V4 is the right motorcycle for you.

With this model, Ducati has opened a new chapter in the world of power cruisers. Power, design, technology and Italian passion combined in one motorcycle. Is the XDiavel V4 the ultimate cruiser? Maybe. But Ducati has certainly proven that it plays by its own rules in this segment.
