Instead, it has a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 that sits in front of the driver. Final output is not yet known, but Ford is aiming for more than 800 KM (800+ HP) = 596 kilowatts (kW). The engine revs to over 7,500 rpm and has a titanium exhaust system with active valve. The Mustang GTD has a transaxle transmission, which means the transmission is mounted in the rear, contributing to a nearly perfect 50-50 weight distribution. It is an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and the power is transmitted from the engine to the gearbox by a carbon cardan shaft.
Mustang GTD it boasts a semi-active suspension that allows you to adjust the spring rates and ride height. In “Track Mode”, the vehicle is lowered by 40 mm (1.575 inches).
