2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer REEV: American luxury plugged into a socket

Electrics, chrome and 647 horses – in one SUV.

The Jeep Grand Wagoneer has always been synonymous with American luxury on wheels — the kind of car you park in front of your country house and watch your neighbors gasp with a glass of bourbon. Now, for 2026, it returns with a new, electrified soul and a single name: Grand Wagoneer.

Those confusing times when you didn't know if you were buying Wagoneer, Jeep Grand Wagoneer or “Wagoneer Series III Luxury Premium,” are gone. Jeep has cleansed the range like a detox juice after a weekend of ribs. There are three trim levels: Grand, Limited Altitude and Summit Obsidian, and prices start at a reasonable (for America) $62,145 and go up to $96,000.

The face of the future – with illuminated confidence

If the previous model looked like a union president, this one acts like his grandson, who owns a sustainable fashion company.

Up front, you're greeted by a new, square grille with seven slots that now glow like disco lights. The entire vehicle has lost its chrome sparkles in favor of more refined, modern surfaces. The side profile remains powerful, while the rear is now characterized by full-width LED lights that will make everyone behind you know exactly that you have more horses than a small continent.

Rims from 18 to 22 inches are available, because it's fitting that an SUV of this size doesn't stand on "trolley wheels."

The Cabin: Between a Golden Age and Audio Nirvana

The interior is a combination of leather, wood and technology that would be the envy of even a hi-end audiophile's living room. New shades such as Dark Ruby Red, adorned with Palermo leather seats, and in the background, Dark Waxed Walnut wood reminds us that this is still a Jeep — not a sterile Tesla capsule.

And then there's the 23-tone McIntosh system. If you don't know the name, just say this: your car has better sound than most living rooms.

Add in an improved head-up display with twice the projection distance, and you have a cabin that screams, “This isn’t an SUV anymore, this is an American sedan with a view.”

Under the hood: two hearts, one goal

The standard version carries a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine Hurricane with two turbines that churn out 420 horsepower (313 kW) and 468 lb-ft (635 Nm) of torque. While no longer the brutally powerful version, it still tows up to 4,500 kg — enough to pull a yacht, a trailer, or your wounded self-esteem.

But the real spectacle comes in the form of REEVRange-Extended Electric Vehicle.

It's hiding under the sheet metal 92 kWh battery that powers the electric motors, while the 3.6-liter V6 acts as a generator. Together, they create 647 horsepower (482 kW) and 620 lb-ft (841 Nm) of torque. Acceleration? 0–100 km/h 5 seconds – and this is at a weight that the scale would rather turn off.

Reach? Total more than 800 km, of which around 240 km of pure electric drivingThis means you'll be able to drive quietly, almost Zen-like, for most of the week without starting the engine – until you decide to go on a road trip across the prairie.

American luxury that is no longer old-fashioned

Jeep has finally said goodbye to the “more is more” philosophy. The new Grand Wagoneer is modern, more subtle, but still imbued with American character. No more glitter, but more substance – and a better feeling that your SUV isn’t burning gas unnecessarily when you’re picking up the kids from school.

Now you have an SUV that can be both quietly dignified and brutally powerful. One that doesn't apologize for being different.

Conclusion: Grand for a reason

2026 Jeep The Grand Wagoneer REEV is not just a car, it's a manifesto for new-age American luxury. It's no longer a vehicle for those who want to prove that you can – but rather for those who understand that they can do so with electric elegance and without a guilty conscience.

If the Grand Wagoneer could talk, it would say something like: “Yes, I’m huge. Yes, I’m electric. And yes, I’m still a Jeep. Do you have any questions?”
