October is definitely the best month of autumn. Well, at least for me. Playful colors and "comfort food" replacing light summer meals are just two of the reasons why October is so wonderful.
Here, of course, there is also a change of almost the entire wardrobe, which is now dominated by soft sweaters, which have been somewhere in the back of the closet - or in a box - waiting for their five minutes of fame. The streets of the city turn into rustling avenues of autumn blues, the smell of roasted chestnuts, Facebook already knows when the Christmas lights will be turned on in the capital, and I don't even know yet if I will even dress up for Halloween. All this is October, a kind of anticipation. Maybe this love or excitement is only in my DNA (I was born at the transition from summer to autumn) and there is nothing special about October. Maybe.
