Are you regularly applying body cream, but your skin is still dry?

Do you feel like your skin is not getting enough moisture though you use creams regularly for the body? But why aren't you getting the results you want? Not enough cream? Maybe you're using the wrong type of cream?

Dry skin can be an extremely annoying problem, especially in winter ones months. Frustration can be increased by the fact that despite the regular use of various body creams results are not visible. If you have found yourself in this situation, it makes sense to check whether you are making some mistakes when applying your body cream.

Experts point out three common mistakes, which we do in skin care with body creams.

1. Not enough cream

One of the most common mistakes is using too little cream. The surface of the body's skin is much larger than the skin on the face, so a larger amount of cream is needed for effective hydration. Experts recommend a coin-sized amount of body cream (say two euros) for each arm and leg, and slightly more for larger areas such as the back, chest and stomach.

By applying the cream more abundantly, we ensure that every centimeter of our body receives adequate moisturizing care.

2. Apply to dry skin

Many people make the mistake of applying body cream to dry skin. Experts recommend applying the cream immediately after showering or bathing, when the skin is still slightly damp. This practice helps retain moisture in the skin and allows the cream to penetrate deeper layers.

Using the cream on dry skin reduces its effectiveness, as the skin cannot optimally absorb the product. So the next time you reach for your body cream, apply it to damp skin for maximum hydration.

3. Choosing the wrong type of body cream

Using the wrong type of body cream can contribute to dry skin. It is important to choose a cream that suits your specific skin type and solves specific problems. If you have dry skin, choose a rich and nourishing body cream with ingredients such as shea butter or hyaluronic acid.

But if you have oily or acne-prone skin, choose a light body cream. Choosing the right body cream can have a significant impact on your skin's hydration and overall health.
