Toshiba has announced its first commercially available glasses-free 3D TV at CEATEC 2010. With two TVs, one with a 12" (30.5 cm) and the other with a 20" (50.8 cm) screen, we will enjoy a three-dimensional viewing experience in a very comfortable way, without having to wear typical 3D glasses. The latest development in glasses-free 3D TV technology uses an integral image processing system. This displays nine different perspectives (parallax) of each individual 2D image, which the viewer's brain then puts together to give the image a three-dimensional effect.
