Spring is the perfect time to book your summer vacation. This year too, many Slovenians will travel to Greece, most of them to more or less well-known islands. But if you want to avoid the crowds, choose one of the islands that have not yet been discovered by the tourist crowd.
Folegandros
Located in the southern part of the Cyclades, the island may not be as glamorous as its neighbor Santorini, but it beats it in terms of stunning views and more affordable prices. The untouched paradise in the Greek archipelago hides a series of undiscovered caves, paradisiacal beaches and magical villages. One of the most fascinating is Hora, which is located on top of a hill and offers beautiful views of the surroundings and is considered one of the most picturesque Greek villages.
Kastellorizo
The Greek island, located only two kilometers from the Turkish coast, is one of the most attractive in the Mediterranean. It brings together everything that the Greek land has to offer. From crystal clear sea to pastel houses and beautiful small taverns with fresh seafood. The island is one of the smallest inhabited Greek islands, and it is located as far as possible from Athens. Looking for peace? Then you will undoubtedly find it here. There is only one village on the island, and you will not be disturbed by the hum of cars.
Milos
The islet of Milos is also located in the Cyclades archipelago, more precisely, it is the most southwestern island of this archipelago. The shifting volcanic islet was once home to the famous Venus de Milo, which is now on display in the Louvre in Paris. In addition to the archaeological remains found on the island, Milos is also famous for more than 65 beaches. The most beautiful of them is Sarakiniko, which can boast of such a blue sea that no one has ever seen.
Symi
Symi is also located not far from the Turkish coast and is part of the Dodecanese Islands. As soon as you arrive at the port, you are greeted by a breathtaking scenario, a bunch of pastel neoclassical palaces descending towards the turquoise blue sea. AT sunset, warm shades of gold are caught in their facades, which makes the island even more romantic. On Symi, you can also find a series of beautiful sandy beaches and turquoise water caves, which can only be visited by boat.
Ithaca
Ithaca, the native island of the famous Odysseus, is located off the coast of Kefalonia. It belongs to the Ionian Islands, but it did not find its way onto the world map only thanks to Homer's epic. The wooded, hilly islet with a series of bays and an emerald sea is considered one of the most uninhabited Greek islands, as it has not yet been discovered by tourists.
