5 things you should never keep in your bathroom

Raise your hand if you keep your toothbrush next to the sink. We probably all do it, but it has been pointed out that the heat and humidity in the bathroom causes bacteria to form. It sounds strange, but these five things are also not wise to store in the bathroom.

These five things should not be stored in the bathroom for various reasons:

Medicines

As you probably know, medicines are stored in cold rooms. The different temperature and humidity caused by showering affect the contents of the medicines, and these changes are said to make the medicines less effective or even to expire faster. It is better to keep medicines in a cool and dry place, such as a nightstand.

Somehow it seems normal to store makeup in the bathroom. But heat and humidity can also break down makeup, which affects the shelf life of your cosmetics. For example, make-up brushes are the main gathering place for bacteria and mold. To prevent this, wash them regularly in warm water and keep them in the bedroom.

Perfume

The first time you use a perfume, it starts to gradually oxidize. Exposure to heat and humidity accelerates the oxidation process and the smell of the perfume deteriorates faster.

Nail polish

Have you ever opened nail polish to see if it has set? If you keep it in the bathroom, the steam may be to blame. Heat can also change the color of the shade, so store your polishes in the fridge.

Sun screen

Storing sunscreen in the bathroom can affect its effectiveness – heat and steam can cause the formula to separate or even mold, so keep it out of the bathroom.
