What's on your desk at work? Is it full of papers? Leftovers from lunch? Did you know that certain things attract failure, reduce productivity and concentration?

The office and your desk represent the place where you spend a large part of the day. To be productive, focused and creative, you need certain conditions.

If you follow the tips below, you can become more productive, more successful at work.

Let's see what you should never have on your office desk according to Feng Shui.

1. Leftover food

According to Feng Shui, clutter accumulates negative energy, which has a bad effect on health, productivity, well-being... On the other hand, leftover food on the table can easily attract insects and bacteria, so throw away everything you don't eat!

Put the trash can under the table and throw away everything you don't need and that bothers you.

2. Too much stationery

In addition to clutter, which according to Feng Shui is the biggest mistake, a large amount of things makes it impossible for you to concentrate, because every object attracts your attention. This means your brain has a harder time filtering information, which is a problem if you're trying to get work done or focus on a project.

Put papers in binders, pens and markers in a cup, paper clips, scissors, etc. in the drawer. The workspace should be inspected and you should have a clear space to work.

3. Too many photos

It's better to keep photos at home than at work, but if you really want to, choose just one - a child, family or loved one. An office is a place where work is done, so it is best not to keep things that distract you in such an environment.

4. Room fresheners

Certain scents can increase productivity and concentration. However, if you work in the same room with colleagues, they may not like the smell that you like. In order not to disturb them with your aromas, place a bottle of essential oil on the table and smell it as often as you like.

5. Cosmetics

Many people like to keep hand cream, disinfectant, deodorant, nail file, etc. on the table, but keep these items in a drawer or cupboard. Your desk should be tidy, not a reminder to oil your hands or file your nails.
