7 Great Lessons You Can Only Learn From Failure

Failure is an inevitable part of success. It could be the beginning of a new path. In order for a child to learn to walk, he has to fall many times. Failure is also an indicator of the success we strive for. When a pole vaulter is beaten by the competition, the height of the jump shows his progress. This failure becomes the starting point of his training, where he tries to prove that the current failure is not necessarily final! -Dave Anderson

Don't be afraid of failure. Without failure, we wouldn't appreciate success as much. Experiences build us and build us into a strong and successful person.

1. If you really want something, failure will not stop you

You will get up and try again. You will learn from the mistakes you made. You will grow from your past experiences. You will put even more effort into achieving your goals because giving up is not an option for you. You want to achieve what you want too much to even think about slowing down.

2. No one is immune to failure

You might think that your failure is a sign that you're not good enough—but no one succeeds the first time they try. Maybe you won't succeed the second or third time. The people you admire were not born perfect in their fields. They were falling. They didn't stop until they got what they wanted. They are successful because of their failures.

3. The biggest critic you will ever face is yourself

Most of the time, people around you will be supportive. They will praise you and encourage you and convince you that you can do anything you set your mind to. The person who will criticize you the most, who will make you wonder if you are a failure, is yourself. To succeed, you have to overcome your own doubts. You must learn to ignore the pessimistic voice in your subconscious.

4. Everyone has a different definition of failure

You may consider something to be a failure, which may be a success to someone else. You need to take a moment to ask yourself why you are so hard on yourself. Ask yourself if you would consider someone else a failure if they did what you did, or if you would be proud of them. You are probably unnecessarily hard on yourself.

5. You are allowed to be disappointed

You can be disappointed in yourself. You can get upset because you didn't achieve a goal that you set for yourself and really wanted to achieve. But only for a short time. If you want to succeed, then you cannot live in the past. You need to focus on the present and the future. You must remember that your journey is not over yet. You can choose to continue. You can decide to try again. Don't give up!

6. You fail in one area but succeed in another

Maybe you don't make as much money as you'd like, but you're happily married. Maybe you're working in your dream job or you've moved into your dream apartment, but you haven't found love yet. You must remember that even though you may feel like a failure in one area of your life, you are thriving in other areas. It's not as bad as you think. But very good! Think positive.

7. You'll always want to go the extra mile

When you get a raise, you'll want another one. When you move into an apartment, you will wish for a bigger apartment. You will never be satisfied. As soon as you reach a goal, you'll create a new goal, so you feel like you're falling short of your goals. Your failure is just an illusion.
