8 rules for a first date

Looking for universal first date tips? First impressions are important, but often when it comes to dating, they can be wrong. So how many times have you initially seemed completely different from who you are just because you panicked?

Put your emotions aside. Don't believe that you instantly fell in love with a new person you just met and saw a few times.

Dating is getting to know each other and a good way to start a new relationship. Love and sincere, more serious feelings come only after a certain time and deeper acquaintance.

There is a secret connection between people, but that connection is not created between everyone you meet.

If you want to win someone over, follow these simple steps.

1. You're a little late for a date

Not much. It's a few minute delay just to build tension. Thanks to this, you will not have to sit and wait for another person.

2. Plan a weekend date

This way, you will find out whether your future partner would rather spend time with you or with his friends.

3. Do not correspond long before the meeting

This is a logical rule. Leave topics for the meeting! Texting someone before meeting can derail some really interesting conversations.

4. Don't talk about your expectations on the first date

Be relaxed on a date, even if you have a plan in mind for how your relationship might work out. First, make sure you get to know the other person well.

5. Don't say thank you for the date in a text

Thank him at the meeting over dinner and drinks together. Make it personal.

6. Wait a few days for the second meeting

The first date can be fantastic and you both look forward to seeing each other again. Falling in love can be amazing! But refrain.

If you are going on a second date, wait at least three days, this only builds tension and anticipation of meeting again. It can also tell you a lot about how much the other person wants to see you again.

7. Don't look at your phone when you're together

It's probably obvious, but unfortunately, many people still check notifications when they're sitting with someone. Be present and put down the phone. This is simply disrespectful.

8. Go on a date without high expectations

Expectations kill and should be avoided if possible. Time will tell what happens next.
