New fingerprint sensor position

The Galaxy S9 has a fingerprint sensor in the center of the back of the phone below the camera. Users of previous Samsung models will remember that the sensor was located to the right of the camera.

Dual camera on the Galaxy S9+

On the Galaxy S9+, you'll find the fingerprint sensor below the two cameras on the back. The first has a wide-angle lens and records at a resolution of 12 MP, while the second has a telescopic lens with an aperture (f/2.4). Both enable optical image stabilization.

Multi-frame image processing

The phone uses DRAM on the camera sensor, thanks to which the Galaxy S9 is able to take 4x more pictures at 4x the speed. Thus, the user can create very high-quality recordings.

Super slow motion recording automatically

You can record slow-motion videos with the Galaxy S9 at a frequency of 960 frames per second and HD resolution. Particularly impressive is the automatic mode, which recognizes when to shoot in technology slow motion.

Mechanical shutter

The narrower aperture (f/2.4) is intended for shooting in good light, while the wider aperture (f/1.5) is used for shooting in low light. The phone will automatically detect which one to use.

Augmented reality smileys

Samsung smileys allow you to create a 3D scan of your face. You can then share emojis that look just like you with your friends. The program also automatically creates 18 different thumbnails in GIF format in the same way.

Gigabit LTE

The Qualcomm processor in the Galaxy S9 supports the LTE Cat 18 network. Therefore, the phone can transfer files at an incredible speed of up to 1.2 GB/s.

Stereo speakers

Part of the new Samsung phone are two AKG speakers, which enable the sound to be played 1.4 times louder. The Dolby Atmos surround sound system also contributes to the exceptional sound experience.

Intelligent scan

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ support three biometric security options. There is iris and face recognition and a fingerprint reader. The iris scanner does not work well in bright light, while the face is more difficult to recognize in the dark.
