HTC Bolt - the first Android without a classic headphone jack

Although Apple faced a lot of criticism after introducing the iPhone 7 without the classic headphone jack, Androids are now apparently following suit. HTC was the first to dare and present the HTC Bolt smartphone, which, like the first Android, remained without the classic headphone jack. It was replaced by the increasingly popular USB Type-C data interface.

HTC it follows the steps Apple, as it introduced a smartphone that does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack (HTC Bolt). If there is iPhone 7 replaced with a connector Lightning, HTC has replaced it with its Android equivalent, the dock USB Type-C. HTC's move is due to the fact that the organization USB Implementers Forum recently adopted a new standard that specifies the transmission of sound via the USB Type-C interface (Audio Device Class 3.0). So this kind of move by Android was only a matter of time.

Of course, the fact that it is also HTC ditched the classic headphone jack, is not the main selling point of HTC's HTC Bolt model.
