Acer introduced a mini computer that can be assembled like Lego bricks

Acer Revo Build Modular PC

Just when we thought computer assembly was saying goodbye, it is experiencing its second spring. It was revived by projects such as the modular phone Phonebloks and Google's Project Ara, and now Acer is joining the modular brush, which introduced a computer that you can assemble like Lego bricks. It's called the Revo Build, and its intelligent design allows you to add bricks (read functionality/extra capabilities) to it like speakers, a projector, a wireless charging station, a hard drive, etc., as easily as stacking Legos on top of Legos.

Acer he presented the Revo Build Mini PC, which you can assemble like Lego bricks. The base unit measures in width and depth 12.5 centimeters, and it is 5.6 centimeters in height, and you can add any component on top of it. And this one, etc. The fact that the computer can be assembled like cubes is to be thanked "pogo pin" connector, which enable easy insertion and direct connection between them. The foundation on which we build is proud with an Intel Celeron or Pentium processor, graphics card (which is still unknown), three USB 3.0 and one HDMI input, memory card reader, headphone/microphone input and 8 GB of working memory.

They can add "cubes" to it, which will offer either 500 GB or 1 TB of storage, speakers, headphone amplifier, projector and wireless charging station, and others will be added to these in the future at Acer. The price of individual bricks is not yet known, but they will definitely be more expensive than boxes of Lego bricks.

Acer with this project resurrects the computer romance of assembly, which somehow disappeared with the dominance of laptops and other devices. We have always had the opportunity to build our own computers, which always required a certain measure technical knowledge and courage, that you "undressed" your personal (including laptop) computer and traced its insides in the hope that you wouldn't break anything. Acer offers this kind of thing with the Revo Build computer expandability but without risk, to whisper something. The only downside to this system is that you are limited by what Acer has to offer.
