Does it often happen that your phone slips out of your hands and ends up on the floor? Your suffering of watching your phone fall will soon be no longer excruciating. You will be able to protect it with a very special case.
Philip Frenzel, a mechanical engineering student at Germany's Aalen University, invented ADCASE, which will be your phone protected against falls. Innovation uses sensors, which trigger during free fall metal 'protrusions'. You can simply put these back in the case and use them again.
Frenzl's invention was recently spotted on a news platform Reddit. Among other things, he received a prestigious award in his home country, which is awarded annually by the association German Society for Mechatronics.
Frenzel initially thought that an airbag made of foam would be used for protection. Because he felt that such a design was not practical, he decided to design metal protection for the phone. Philip and his team needed approx two and a half years, that the project was successfully completed. ADCASE that should fit newer iPhones, can on Kickstarter we expect already at the beginning of July.
