AE Motion is a unique electric quad bike that leans up to 35° like a motorcycle, but protects you from the elements and impacts. With a swinging door, modular rear seat and battery flexibility, it's ready for urban life adventures — pre-orders open this year.
Have you ever wanted the comfort of a car, with the freedom and agility of a motorcycle? AE Motion has made that dream come true. Their micro-four wheeler, barely 2.3 m long, only 79 cm wide and equipped with a tilting chassis, promises traffic without congestion and without compromise.
Mobile elegance on thin tires
The AE Motion combines the agility of a motorcycle with the safety of a small electric vehicle. With a chassis that can tilt up to more than 35° — controlled via the motorcycle handlebars — cornering becomes an elegant dance. The vehicle is equipped with an electric drivetrain that allows speeds of up to 115 km/h (70 mph).
With a width of 79 cm (31 in), you can easily drive through narrow streets and park almost anywhere.
Functional minimalism
The vehicle seats two passengers: a driver in the front and a passenger in the back. The rear seat can be pushed forward and folded for additional cargo space — ideal for shopping bags or a small suitcase.
Forward-swinging doors (modeled after the elytra door) make it easier to enter and exit in city parking lots with tight space regulations.
Savings and energy flexibility
The AE offers two battery options: swappable batteries with a range of approximately 70 km (43 miles) and a fixed battery for up to 200 km (124 miles). This flexibility allows users to take short quick charges or longer rides on a single charge.
The vehicle weighs approximately 230 kg including batteries and is designed for easy repair thanks to its modular construction.
Safety philosophy
The AE is equipped with automotive-grade safety features: front and rear crash boxes, interchangeable EPP containers, hydraulic disc brake system and 4-point seat belts for both occupants. The interior acts as a passive air cushioning mechanism.
When? Where? How?
The prototype first appeared in late 2024 and was shown during the VivaTech conference in Paris in June 2025. Pre-orders are expected to open in 2025; the goal is first leasing (for around €200/month), with regular production planned after 2028.
Conclusion: AE Motion
If you think so the car is too big and the motorcycle is too exposed — The AE offers a golden mean. Minimal width, a tilting chassis and a modular interior are a recipe for the mobility of the future, suitable for tight city avenues and sustainable mobility. A great solution for thosewho want to get from point A to point B quickly, elegantly and emission-free — without the classic parking delay.
