If you thought that psychopaths prefer to listen to classical music (like Hannibal Lecter, for example), you are wrong. This study revealed that these are actually two completely different compositions. Are they also on your "playlist"?
In a study conducted at the University of New York, they asked 200 people to listen 260 tracks. The individuals were then rated and those who had psychopathic traits also shared two tracks. Namely No Diggity by Blackstreet and Eminem's Lose Yourself.
That's right, people who love 90s R&B classics and the theme song to Mathers' 8 Mile also have psychopathic tendencies.
At to The Guardian they warn that the results are 'preliminary and unpublished', but there is no doubt that there is more than enough interest in the psychopaths' favorite music. Lead researcher Pascal Wallisch says: “The media portrays psychopaths as serial killers, but in reality they are not that obvious, they are not like the Joker in Batman. Maybe they work right next to us and integrate perfectly into the surroundings."
If your favorite tracks My Sharona the band The Knack or Titanium musicians SIA and David Guetta, then you are the lowest on the scale of potential psychopaths. Comforted?
