Although there are many of them like mushrooms after the rain and a new one opens almost every month, we can no longer talk about classic pizzerias for a long time. In fact, it is difficult to find a restaurant that does not smell at least a little like a pizzeria. However, Ancora, which grew on the legacy of the former Maribo New World, continued the tradition quite successfully and brought something fresh along with it. What are we talking about? About a mixture of typical Italian cuisine (pasta & co.) with a touch of Dalmatia. Novi svet was famous as a good fish restaurant, and Ancora also offers quite a few seafood dishes. Squid in a thousand and one ways, grouper, sea bream, sea bass, trout, dune black risotto, octopus in salad and fish soup occupy only one and a half pages on the otherwise ten-page menu, but still. It goes without saying that it's the little things that make the difference these days. Of course, the lion's share of the menu is occupied by pizzas, various pastas and salads. The selection is nevertheless varied, they have menus for the youngest and vegetarians will also find something for themselves. The atmosphere is quite happy and pleasant, although it has been seen countless times. Given its location in the strict center of the city, Ancora is one of the few exceptions where they offer us something concrete and tasty to eat even late in the evening. Add to that the wallet-friendly prices and it will be hard to go wrong with the choice. As long as we are not too picky...
