Andy Warhol's exhibition called ''ANDY WARHOL ... IN THE CITY'' recently opened its doors in the Molo IV exhibition space in Trieste.
The exhibition, which will be on display from July 5 to September 21, 2014, will offer the opportunity to see more than 100 Warhol Works.
Andy Warhol, which many call the "father" of consumerism, advertising and, of course, '"Pop Art", will be presented through all the important periods of his art, collected in an extraordinary collection New Factory Art. In this way, you will be able to meet his very famous works live, which marked the era of modern man as symbols of "enlightenment". The aim of his art was to draw from everyday life, from what mass culture has so popularized and equally accessible. This was the case, for example, with a brand Coca-Cola, which became popular among the rich as well as the common people.
The elements that surrounded the famous portraits of Hollywood icons of the time, from Liz Taylor all the way to Elvis Presley himself, are transferred into colorful serigraphs. Not to mention his most famous subject, Marilyn Monroe. "ANDY WARHOL ... IN THE CITY" it becomes a real journey into the universe of this artist, through images with a modern touch, which are increasingly important in the time of the hopeless hunt for "fame" that we face, even if it is fleeting. After all, as Warhol himself said in 1968: "In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes."
