Smarter Siri, imaging tools, and enhanced text understanding—Apple Intelligence delivers revolutionary features that promise to redefine your experience with Apple devices.

With the latest update iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 Apple introduces the highly anticipated “Apple Intelligence.” This suite of AI-powered features spans much of the Apple ecosystem and promises to improve productivity and entertainment through smarter assistants, content creation tools, and more.

Apple always tries to surprise us by redefining the way we use technology. This time, with the release of Apple Intelligence in iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1, it goes a step further and introduces AI features designed to make your digital assistant even smarter. But is it all just marketing or is it actually something you will use every day? Although Apple, of course, has its own list of "limitations" (hello, Siri only in American English), it promises quite a lot interesting upgrades, which might make you want to download the update right away anyway.

Smart artificial intelligence at the service of your everyday life

Apple Intelligence isn't just a new feature—it's a whole suite of tools that combine smarter speech recognition, text generation, image processing, and the integration of all these elements across devices. Among the major innovations are the improved possibilities of the voice assistant Siri, which now, at least in theory, "understands" your questions more intuitively and adjusts the answers in a more natural way. Imagine that you no longer need to "teach" your Siri - which is otherwise a classic paradox of all AI solutions - but that it "knows" what you want.

But don't worry, while Siri may not be ready to take over the world just yet, it will definitely be better at following your commands and even connecting with your other Apple devices – provided they're all updated to the latest version, of course.

Generative AI: When the iPhone writes and draws

If you're having trouble writing an email or posting on Instagram, Apple has a solution. A new text generation feature lets you create coherent (and potentially funny) sentences, making your phone, as Apple promises, your personal writer. You can also now create images through this feature, meaning you no longer need to search for the perfect photo; just tell Siri or your iPhone what style or theme you want, and voila!

Apple isn't the first tech company to introduce generative art and writing, of course, but their implementation has that classic Apple smoothness that makes it seem like you might not even be using AI, but simply - a smarter device.

How to get Apple Intelligence features?

All you need is the latest update, i.e. iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 or macOS Sequoia 15.1. The update is available from October 28th, but for full functionality there is a small caveat: currently they only work in American English. However, Apple announces that by December, English will be supported for Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until 2025 for all other languages.

Conclusion: Is it worth upgrading?

If you've always dreamed of your phone finally becoming something more than just a “smart” device and Siri actually helping you, then Apple Intelligence is definitely something worth checking out. The update not only brings new things to the voice assistant, but also tools that allow your devices to learn how you work – and thus improve the way you use technology.

With this, will Apple create a full-fledged AI assistant or just update Siri with trendy technology? We'll have to figure that out. The same applies to the fact that nvarious functions in the EU will not be available.
