Apple is setting the stage for one of its biggest events in recent years - the 2025 Apple iPhone event. And while prices are going up a bit this year (yes, again), we're clearly getting some tech goodies in return that will be hard to ignore.
This year, Apple is clearly playing the card of recognition at first sight – as if you want it to catch your eye from a mile away: "Aha, this is the iPhone 17." Instead of the elegant but cold titanium, the new iPhone 17 Pro models clad in an aluminum unibody case, with an elegant glass cutout on the back that allows for wireless charging and – even more interestingly – the possible arrival of the feature MagShare respectively reverse wireless charging. Yes, that means you can "stick" your friend's iPhone to the back of your phone and give it a little boost. Almost like a digital version of solidarity. So – Apple iPhone event 2025 – will be on September 9th this year.
This all looks pretty futuristic, but Apple has more than just design tricks up its sleeve. The new photo bar it's not just there for lipstick - it hides a moving part of the lens that is supposed to allow continuous optical zoom without loss of quality. It will finally be found on all three lenses 48-megapixel sensor, which means a serious leap in photo quality.
On the front side will be Dynamic Island became more discreet, with a new anti-reflective and scratch-resistant coating, which will be especially useful for those who use their phone under the sun or in crowded gyms with fluorescent lighting.
And under the hood? New A19 Pro chip together with vapor chamber cooling, which will ensure that your iPhone doesn't overheat – even if you decide to go for an 8-hour gaming session or a 5-hour TikTok marathon. Unfortunately, this will also be an excuse for price increase of around 50 euros on Pro and Air models.
Apple iPhone event 2025 – expected news
Basic iPhone 17: Finally 120 Hz – and that's not sarcasm
If you don't want to spend more than last year but still want a new phone, here's one basic iPhone 17, which will cost around 800 euros. And believe it or not – finally getting a 120 Hz displayYes, it took Apple almost a decade to bring this to the base model, but hey – better late than never.
The screen will be large 6.3 inches, the edges are thinner, and if we consider that it still won't have a function always-on display (since Apple is still using cheaper display technology), this is quite a serious improvement.
The front camera will jump from 12 to 24 megapixels, which will be the biggest upgrade to the front camera on the iPhone – so your next selfie will have more detail than the mirror in the elevator.
Inside we find even more space for a slightly larger battery and a new A19 chip (Not Pro, but still capable). But the rest of the phone… is just “meh”. It feels like an iPhone 16S with a new sticker. Apple is giving the impression of, “Look, we didn’t raise prices everywhere. It’s just… well, you know.”
AirPods Pro 3: Finally more than just a box of sound
After almost three years of waiting, they are coming AirPods Pro 3, and with them a significant turnaround – both in design and functionality.
Besides better active noise cancellation (ANC), which is already almost perfect (seriously, how do they improve it?!), the new headphones will bring heart rate sensor – so you can track your heart rate while running, even if you left your Apple Watch at home.
Apple sees this as the beginning of a new era where AirPods will become medical deviceIn the future we can expect more body temperature meter and similar features. Get ready - your headphones will soon know you're sick before you even realize it. Definitely one of the most anticipated new features at the Apple iPhone event 2025.
Apple Watch SE 3, Series 11 and Ultra 3: A decade and new blood
Apple Watch celebrates 10 years, so Apple is (allegedly) preparing quite a bit of candy for the 2025 Apple iPhone event.
Apple Watch SE 3 could switch to plastic housing, to make it even cheaper and more attractive to parents buying a smartwatch for their kids. It gets a faster chip, but the design will be recycled – so nothing too exciting.
Series 11 could finally get the redesign they promised last year: slim frame, magnetic strap, a more futuristic look. More reliable innovations include 5G connectivity (yes, we've still stuck with 4G so far) and blood pressure monitor, if Apple really succeeds by September. And if it's not this year, then we've been waiting for the fifth year for something truly "revolutionary" in healthcare with the Apple Watch. It's time.
But the most interest is Apple Watch Series 3, which will have even bigger screen (in reality, the watch will remain the same size, only the edges will be thinner) and satellite connectivityYes, we're talking about the ability to send an SOS message from a deserted mountain pass - right from your wrist. It's almost like wearing a mini Star Trek communicator.
AirTag 2: Three times longer range and… connection to Vision Pro?
New ones AirTags 2 he will have three times longer range, better accuracy thanks to the new ultra-wideband chip and greater resistance to abuse – so it will be harder to remove the speaker and use it to track people without their knowledge (because yes, that has happened).
The most unusual piece of information? Potential connection to Apple Vision ProApparently you could see your lost keys through AR glasses – which is brilliant… if you’re one of the three people in the world who actually own both products.
And when is all this coming? – Apple iPhone event 2025
Apple September event will most likely take place Tuesday, September 9th at 10:00 AM Pacific Time, which means around 19:00 our time.
While some of the upgrades are expected and almost self-evident, while others cast a bright future on Apple's medical (and spy) ambition, one thing is clear: Apple is promising more this year, more expensive – but also more powerful.
And if the article gave you any new insight into what's coming from Cupertino - click "share", because maybe your friend still thinks 120 Hz on the iPhone is a myth.
