The National Museum of Slovenia houses a collection of more than 200 stone monuments with inscriptions, mostly from the Roman period, which reveal various aspects of past life. The collection also includes a gilded statue of Emon, dressed in a typical Roman toga, so we will dress like one ourselves during the workshop. Then we will join Narmus, a citizen of Emon, who will take us into Roman everyday life. On a walk through the lapidarium, we will learn about Roman cuisine, games, the army, transport, Roman gods and beliefs, and we will also learn how to exorcise evil spirits. The workshop will conclude with the making of a headdress.
The workshop is suitable for children from the age of 7. Duration: 120 minutes. Price: 3.5 euros.
Participation is limited. Tickets can also be purchased in advance. If a child under 7 years of age wants to attend the workshop, they must be accompanied by an adult during the workshop. The accompanying person is also required to pay for the ticket.
