A new hotel with an innovative concept has opened on the Swedish river Lule. Arctic Bath is a floating hotel and spa where you can enjoy a truly unique wellness vacation.
The main hotel facility of the hotel Arctic Bath is a floating round designed by two architects Bertil Harström and Johan Kauppi. They wanted to design a facility that would resemble bird's nest, and around it there would be other floating units and a few land cabins for guests. Under the magical northern lights and the summer midnight sun, this unique hotel invites you to an unforgettable vacation, friendly to the environment and your well-being.
In addition to the main floating facility, the hotel includescomfortable and luxurious cabins on the water or on land, which are connected to the surrounding unspoilt nature with natural, sustainable materials with a rich history - wooden and stone elements are harmoniously connected with prestigious textile elements in a pleasant, modern and refined Scandinavian design.
Floating cabins they offer 24 m2 of space and are mainly intended for couples. They are connected to the mainland via floating bridges, and they are surrounded by a 57.5 m2 large terrace that offers an unforgettable space for meditation, catching the sun's rays and observing the northern lights.
On land the cabins are larger (62 m2), and he can enjoy them up to five guests. The cabins stand on stilts, along the beautiful coast, surrounded by lush vegetation, and are connected to each other by footpaths. The rear cabin is 62 m2 in size apartment for two people on two floors, which are connected by a spiral staircase. On the roof, the happy couple can enjoy morning coffee, relaxation, meditation and unforgettable views of the surrounding nature.
Guests can also visit hotel restaurant, outdoor cold water bath and spa and sauna.
An idea for a hotel Arctic Bath was born in 2010, at the opening Treehotel, also in Harads. In 2013, Harström developed the idea with the help of Johan Kauppi - together they designed a floating bird's nest, the main object of the Arctic Bath Hotel, which opened its doors January 15, 2020.
