Carl Jung identified 4 light and 4 dark female archetypes - find out which one is yours! An archetype is a kind of psychological gene, an inherited part of our soul that connects body and soul. They are energetically very strong and difficult to resist. An archetype has a positive and a negative side, so we gain control over it by activating and emphasizing the positive side.

Archetypes were and still are, living psychic forces, which must be taken seriously, and in some strange way their effect never fails.

Carl Jung introduced the concept of archetypes into psychology and described the structure of the personality, which consists of three elements, consciousness or ego, unconscious individual and collective.

Archetypes are one of the components of the collective unconscious of man and represent certain modes of action that influence human consciousness through the unconscious. They affect human behavior, relationship building, planning, and perhaps destiny.

An archetype is that nature that is hidden within us. It is difficult for us to become aware of it, but it affects us and is part of our being.

There are many archetypes in psychology and the history of human development, and here are the female archetypes according to Jung! Everyone has a light and a dark side (the dark side is those aspects of an individual that exist but are not perceived or identified with).

1. Princess archetype (bright side):

It denotes good behavior, ladylike behavior and excellent students. Manifestations of this archetype in behavior are: obedience to parents, desire to fit into the image of an adult woman, love of reading and playing music, romantic character and high life ideals. In relationships with men, perfect love and a prince on a white horse await the princess.

The dark side of this archetype is the bad girl. Complete denial of parental authority, envy of people more successful than her. An irresistible desire to experience everything she was deprived of. She does not choose means to attract attention. It creates toxic circumstances in partner relationships.

2. Muse or priestess archetype (bright side):

She is a mysterious woman, a real lady and a femme fatale. Poems and novels are dedicated to this type of woman. This woman was created for inspiration and support, has a deeply developed intuition and is in perfect harmony with nature. In addition to such a woman, a man is able to quickly achieve success due to the fact that he will strive to develop his personality. She is the embodiment of female sensuality and beauty. She learned to love and be loved.

The dark side of this archetype is the vampire, which strives for unlimited power and dominance. She has power over other people, especially men. This is the type of femme fatale who strives to win at any cost and in everything!

3. Warrior archetype (bright side):

This archetype is characterized by constant energetic activity, that is, a completely independent woman who does not need the help of a man and strives to be equal to him or even better. She is characterized by practicality and rationality, not only at work, but also when expressing her own feelings and emotions.

The dark side of this archetype is the Amazon. A reserved, secretive type of woman who considers expressing emotions a weakness and actively represses them.

4. Archetype lover (bright side):

This is a woman who is ready to give her time, love, affection. He knows how to listen and hear the people around him. Another name for this archetype is mother. Such a woman was created for family and motherhood. She is characterized by patience and selfless sacrifices. He always supports his partner.

The dark side of this archetype is the bad mother. It is characterized by conservatism, limited views, complete calculation and frugality. In relations with the people around him, he acts according to the principles of rigid manipulation.

Jung notes that this manipulation is a kind of her concern, because she does not know how to express her feelings in any other way and she is deeply convinced that she knows life better than others. In her love life, she is burdened with control and jealousy.
