SEAFOOD IN STYRIA It is not necessary to travel to the sea for a good fish dinner. If we are on our way to the other side of the country, to the east, we leave the highway towards Maribor at the Lopat turnoff. Drive straight through two or three roundabouts and turn right at the first traffic light. We are now in Levec and a little further along the road we come across the Asada inn. The rather inconspicuous building on the outside surprises with its warmth and homeliness as soon as we open the door. The masters of the kitchen will spoil you with all kinds of dishes, but fans of fish and other seafood delicacies will take away the most from the visit. They don't know frozen fish in Asad, because fresh fish is brought to them three times a week. Guests can choose the lobster themselves, namely from the aquarium, which of course does not mean that they have to catch it. The selected dishes are accompanied by selected wines: you can enjoy a truly rich selection of wines from all wine-growing regions of Slovenia, and connoisseurs will surely be delighted to try the 200-year-old Hennessey cognac. After such a hearty lunch, there is also a dessert that they prepare themselves in Asad, let's whisper that the panna cotta just melts in your mouth, and the tiramisu and chocolate cream will also convince you. Parents can bring their children to dinner without fear of children's rampage, because in Asad they know how to confuse the little ones with crayons and coloring books, and there is always another treat for the little mischievous ones.
