Audi e-tron - 10,000 orders in the first days - this will be one of the biggest electric hits

The new Audi e-tron

The Audi e-tron reminds us that electric cars are the future, even if we often wonder how far away it is. This is also why Audi is surprised by the number of pre-orders they have received since the official presentation of the Audi e-tron a good 15 days ago in San Francisco. There are said to be as many as 10,000 pre-orders.

For a rough comparison, we can cite the fact that Tesla sold more than 12,600 units of the model in 2017 Tesla X in Europe. That's also why the 10,000 number is respectable and a serious indicator that Tesla is slowly but surely gaining strong competition. Both cars are in the same segment and will definitely be direct competitors.

Production Audi e-tron started on September 3, 2018 in Belgium, so the first deliveries of cars in Europe will be very soon (certainly before the end of this year). That is why we hope that we will see some example on Slovenian roads already this year.

Maybe some impressive data about the car, which certainly impresses both in terms of design and technology. The Audi e-tron will reach a top speed of 200 km/h, and it will accelerate to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. Since the range is important in electric vehicles, we are pleased with the solid range of 400 km with a single charge and the enabled fast charging of up to 80 % battery capacities in 30 minutes.

In Germany, electrification with e-trons starts at 79,900 euros ... but of course it only starts there.
