Also this year, spring brings one of the major popular science events in Slovenia. Brain Week 2018 will be held under the title The world stands on dreams from March 12 to 16, 2018. The main venue of the event will be Ljubljana, and the accompanying program will also take place in other major cities in Slovenia. Through lectures, workshops, film screenings and a round table, we will question the role of sleep, dreaming and daydreaming through the prism of the brain. Entry is free.

But regardless of this (or maybe because of this), the festival promises an insightful and promising program, rounded out by films that reflect the truth of the world as best as possible. March heralds the beginning of spring: a time of awakening and growth. Therefore, it is only right that this year's entry into the milder season is also marked by brain activation. Brain Week 2017 will open questions about contemporary personal and social crises under the title Crisis New World. The event will take place between 13 and 17 March 2017 in the ZRC Atrium and the Slovenian Cinematheque. In addition to lectures, workshops for adults and children, and a round table, the event will be rounded off by an accompanying program that will also exercise the right cerebral hemisphere through film art. On November 26, 2016, the ballet performance Eugene Onegin will be premiered at SNG Maribor. The dance piece, which draws its story from Pushkin's iconic novel Eugene Onegin, was choreographed by renowned ballet choreographer Valentina Turcu. The new ballet performance finds its musical basis in the works of Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov.
