Danish audio luxury meets Italian stonemason glamour — and the result is the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Balance speaker, which sounds great and looks like it just escaped from a modern art museum.
Bang & Olufsen has unveiled a new, even more luxurious version of its Bang & Olufsen Beosound Balance speaker at Milan Design Week. It now boasts a hand-carved Antolini marble base, which is not only an aesthetic addition but also a functional part of the acoustics. Price? On request. Of course.
Marble, sound and ego: Beosound Balance now sits on the throne
In an era where devices are competing for attention with more aggressive hardware, even brighter LEDs, and (too) many smart features, Bang & Olufsen is quietly going in a different direction: make it sound great – and look even better. And no, we’re not talking about minimalist elegance. We’re talking about a speaker with marble pedestal.
At Milan Design Week 2025, Bang & Olufsen revealed Beosound Balance Natura, a speaker dressed in designer haute couture. Together with the Italian master stonemason Antolini have created a speaker that sits on a base made of natural stone, including marble, quartz, and even fossilized wood. Yes, you read that right – fossilized wood. Because why listen to music from the ground when you can listen to it from an eco-archaeological work of art?
What do we get for the negotiated price – Bang & Olufsen Beosound Balance?
To start with – the iconic Beosound Balance design, known for its 360-degree sound diffusion and advanced technology for adapting acoustics to the room. Then we add:
- Hand-crafted stone base made from different types of stone, each with a unique translucency and depth of color.
- Anodized aluminum ring, which elegantly separates the speaker from its stone pedestal – because every king needs a frame.
- Fully personalized custom-made, with which B&O clearly indicates: “If you have to ask for the price, this is probably not for you.”
And if that's not enough for you, Bang & Olufsen also offers Beovision Theater (55-inch TV) and Beolab 28 speakers, clad in Antolini's “Amazon” quartzite. Which means you can now furnish your living room as a marble temple of good taste (and bank limit).
Does it sound better because it's on marble?
Bang & Olufsen claims that yes – because marble as a material affects acoustic insulation and vibration stability. But let's be real, buyers of this speaker probably want their Spotify streaming system to look like it was designed with Michelangelo. And hey, why not?
Design is half the story these days, and Bang & Olufsen tells that story with an Italian accent and Scandinavian confidence. Beosound Balance Natura It's not a speaker for everyone—it's a statement, a manifesto, maybe even a new form of home prestige. And if you've already got $3,300 for the "basic" version, why not go one step (or stone) further?
Conclusion: When design screams (in hi-fi quality)
With the new version of the Beosound Balance, Bang & Olufsen proves once again that it is more of an artist than an engineer in the game of luxury. The speaker is still technically perfect, of course – but now it also has a soul… made of stone. Literally.
Price? Don't ask. Just tell the interior designer to get ready.
