With a new project, Banksy reminds us that the holidays are not so beautiful for everyone

English street artist Banksy is still active in the Palestinian territories, and his latest politically-tinged artwork has a very special festive feel to it, reminding us that the holidays are not equally beautiful for everyone.

Banksy is known for the minimalist yet powerful graffiti he created along the dividing wall Israel and Palestinian West Bank. This time, the elusive out-of-series revealed a new project with the title The Alternative, but this time it is in Bethlehem, the 'cradle' of Christmas. The first half of the project, which can be found near the Catholic chapel Milk Grotto, examines the importance of peace in the modern world. The other half of the project shows two angels, who are trying to get to the other side of the so-called 'great wall'.
At the beginning of this year, Banksy embarked on a rather daring project: he opened an exhibition in the same city 'exhibition hostel' The Walled Off Hotel and thereby tried to show his protest against the segregation between Israelis and Palestinians.
