Base Cabin: eco micro house on wheels

Base Cabin is a small mobile home that redefines "micro living".

Company Studio Edwards, based in Melbourne, introduced Base Cabin, a mobile home that offers a fresh design approach to the "micro house" typology. It features an A-shaped structure and was inspired by the iconic Airstream trailer. The design is efficient and uses less material than conventional portal frame buildings. It's a mobile home can be transported, which means that we can escape with it at any time to the desired location, where we can feel an intimate connection with nature!

The Base Cabin has an otherwise inconspicuous appearance, it is covered with black rubber, which makes it easy to blend in with the surroundings. The interior is optimized with two levels. For sleeping, there is a space under the frame in the shape of the letter A, where there is also a triangular window. It complements it bathroom with shower and small kitchen with a seat by the window and a folding table. The interior is bathed in natural light due to the placement of the windows full of natural materials, which generate heat.
