Because she was Ileane Sonnabend A passionate collector of modern art during her lifetime, she was called an ambassador of the new in the title of the exhibition - "Ileana Sonnabend: Ambassador for the New". Her superb collection of modern art can be viewed at the Venice Gallery of Modern Art from May 30 Ca' Pesaro, where 70 famous works that recently graced the walls of the New York museum will be exhibited MoMA. For a period of six months (the exhibition closes on January 4, 2015), the gallery will display works by some of the greatest artists of the 20th century. Let's mention only a few of the most famous: Robert Rauschenberg, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Anselm Kiefer. The purpose of the exhibition is to acquaint the public with one of the best collections of modern art, dominated by American pop art and Italian arte povera, which were especially close to the hearts of famous collectors and respected art dealers.
