These days, when in the mornings for the first time after the hot summer we meet the autumn mists, the thought escapes again and again to the summer memories. I open the roof, turn on the heated seats... and… I know summer isn't over yet. Far from it with the BMW Z4.
I drive onto the ring road and with a smile on my face, I drive about 120 km/h, the wind in my hair is moderate, and my passenger is wearing a headscarf, equipped and ready for Saturday's adventure.

At Postojna turning off the highway and an idyllic karst landscape opens up with an even more idyllic road that I know well. BMW Z4 has always been a magnet for looks, in this generation it really surpasses itself, it is simply an extremely beautiful car that feels much bigger than previous generations. The chosen pearl white color emphasizes almost all of its lines and inflates it even more. It closes the roof, which makes the car a cute coupe. Fairly fast, but still a bit slower than I would have expected. It bothers me that I cannot close the roof with the remote key, but only by pressing and holding the button in the cabin. Little things, such sweet little things. This is followed by a clichéd coffee in one of the even more clichéd Opatija cafes. The sun is already high and the beach is so far away. We get into the car and we're already on our way Dear Martyrs, where we have arranged for lunch and swimming. Time seems to pass more slowly.
He doesn't give me peace. I'm kind of nervously looking around the sandy beach and thinking about the fact that summer is really over. Here in Učka's embrace, the sun really falls quickly. Let's go after him, he surprises me. We say goodbye and unconsciously I turn west – towards Pula. Where are we going, my companion asks me? No... it's not the end of summer yet.
