The iconic boutique hotel at the foot of the Julian Alps, which was the first in Bohinj to offer heated bathrooms and other advanced hotel services in 1890, provided a special innovation during the closure of tourist accommodation. In addition to multiple award-winning culinary experiences, comfortable accommodation that follows the principles of digital detox, and friendly staff, the hotel now also offers a private Zlata vila wellness center.
Wellness Golden Villa with designer interior offers seven elements of relaxation, including a carbonized Finnish sauna, a relaxing hot tub, and an ice waterfall for nibbling. The latest acquisition is intended for guests over 18 years of age and accommodates up to six people to ensure privacy. They inspired the concept and image of the boutique wellness tales of high mountain fairies, who live in the slopes and hidden corners of Bohinj. Indeed, hikers once told stories about fairies, who were famous for their extraordinary and pristine beauty, golden hair, and soft and glistening skin. Legend has it that the minerals of the pure water of Triglav's seven lakes and the other magical elements of their natural, but hidden home contributed to the beautiful appearance of the villas.
The home-designed wellness center impresses with care at first glance selected details, which were mainly self-constructed and come from the hearts of their creators. A special ambiance is conjured up by hand mosaic of more than 1,400 gold cubes and a wall surrounded by solid wood that has been given new life. It is made according to the principle "overcycling" from 100-year-old and more old handmade chairs, tables and other worn-out furniture, which were converted into wall coverings, which gives the room a special character. The tribute to Bohinj's iron-making heritage with the thoughtful use of shade should not be ignored black iron ores on the walls and floor, which connects beautifully with massive Slovenian wood and golden color in the rest area.
