BRABUS XL 800: The SUV that only those with a private island drive in Monaco – and for whom the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is too boring

When 800 HP is not an exaggeration, but a morning routine

Forget discreet luxury. The BRABUS XL 800 is a flashy, brutal and completely insane vehicle for those who park next to a yacht on the Riviera. And drive with more carbon than in Formula 1.

If Bruce Wayne had a weekend residence in Monte Carlo and wanted to go on safari in Kenya, he would buy a BRABUS XL 800. Not because he needs 800 horsepower (588 kW) and 1000 Nm of torque – but because he just has them. you can. And because he wants to turn on his LED lighted roof with an app on his phone while wearing a tuxedo.

Based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63, but reworked with BRABUS's maniacal perfectionism, the XL 800 is a sports SUV that surpasses everything else in every way - from the Rolls-Royce Cullinan to the Range Rover SV.

Under the carbon hood of the BRABUS XL 800: 800 horses in the service of extravagance

Under the hood is the familiar 4.0-liter V8 biturbo, which in this version develops 800 horsepower (588 kW) and literally pulls the beast to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The electronically limited top speed is 210 km/h (130 mph), but let's be honest - if you're in Monaco with this car, you're more worried about how you look at 5 km/h on Casino Square.

Portal axes and 47 cm ground clearance – because yes, why not?

Yes, the BRABUS XL 800 has more ground clearance than most motorhomes. At an impressive 47 centimeters (18.5 inches), not even a high nightgown will stop it. Portal axles (at the front!) ensure that it climbs over curbs with the same elegance as an aristocrat over a red carpet.

The suspension is adjustable with electronically controlled dampers, and the exhaust sound system can be switched to a “neighborhood-friendly” mode when you return to your villa in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin at night.

Carbon style and details for Instagram

The exterior is covered with the BRABUS WIDESTAR widebody kit made of visible carbon. Integrated winches at the front, diffuser at the rear, LED lighting on the sides - every detail screams custom made22-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z/HD wheels add the final “touch me not” finish.

Interiors for millionaires who find Rolls too ordinary

Inside, we find Double Cube quilted leather (hand-stitched, of course), Alcantara Dinamica headliner, and carbon fiber accents on every surface not already covered in leather. Rear passengers have their own digital display on the ceiling, where they can keep track of the time, speed, and probably the price of wine at the Hermitage Hotel.

Price? Only for the chosen ones

BRABUS XL 800 With a starting price of 630,767 euros (excl. VAT), the BRABUS XL 800 is not a car – it is a club that only those who find even the Ferrari 812 Superfast a bit too average enter. At this price, it is not just a vehicle, but personalization, prestige and – honestly – the most photogenic car on the Côte d'Azur.

Conclusion: Why the BRABUS XL 800 isn't for everyone (and that's a good thing)

The BRABUS XL 800 is not for people looking for discretion. It is not for those who are concerned about fuel consumption. It is for those who know that life is too short to be bored and that sometimes you have to arrive in Saint-Tropez with more carbon than most sailboats.

Although competitors like the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge or Bentley Bentayga Speed offer luxury and power, none combine everything with such brutality, rawness and – honestly – glamour as the BRABUS XL 800. And if anyone asks you why you spent as much on an SUV as you did on a four-room apartment in Ljubljana… invite them for a spin. Let them figure it out for themselves.
