A new bridge outside the city of Da Nang in Vietnam is wowing visitors with its elegant and fairy-tale design – seemingly held by two giant stone hands.
Golden Brige (Golden bridge) it stands at 1400 meters above sea level in the Ba Na Hills, and offers a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside. Gold colored walkway, which leads over the bridge, is embellished with purple Lobelia chrysanthemums, and elegantly curls in length almost 150 meters. But they take care of the real 'wow' factor two giant stone hands, which seemingly hold the bridge.
And although the hands look like they're carved from stone, they're not. "We designed the skeleton of the hands and then covered it with steel mesh. We finished with fiberglass and added a motif. The entire construction of the bridge takes about a year," a representative of the company told Bored Panda TA Landscape Architecture, which designed the bridge.
Vietnam currently is experiencing a boom in tourism, because more and more people are discovering the extraordinary beauty of this country. The bridge is part of a US$2 billion investment that is expected to attract visitors to Vietnam more than 1.5 billion tourists per year.
