Cafe racer is a term used for a specific type of motorcycle as well as its rider. The term began to be used in the 60s of the last century in Great Britain, although the cult came to life in practically all major motorist countries of Europe at the same time.
Expression it comes from the fact that their purpose is to show off in front of cafes, or cult urban outposts. Their drivers are "wanna be” renegades. Cafe-to-café racing has spawned arguably the largest urban motorcycle cult!
These are engines that focus a lot on appearance and a little less on comfort. Cafe Racer might as well be reworked Tomos, although the Honda and Yamaha brands experienced the most conversions.
