IVY REC is a small and robust, but above all versatile camera that is determined to replace our smartphones.
Canon surprised this year with Indiegogo campaign, where they presented their vision of a portable camera that is so easy and small, to easily replace today's large smartphones. This is exactly what her purpose is supposed to be. The design is quite simple. IVY REC it is a carbine-like camera, in which he is hiding 13 MP resolution sensor. There is no screen, but it is possible on the back page switch between modes operation (taking photos, video,...), and the physical button serves as the good old trigger.
Since the camera is Canon's butter, we dare say that the photos from the IVY REC will be very good. Video with resolution 1080p/60 frames is acceptable, but we would like 4K recording support. But there will be a camera sure took a few hits and diving in water up to 2 meters. Recorded material will be uploaded to MicroSD memory card, and both photography and photo transfer will be possible through a smartphone app. Already in the near future, IVY REC will be available for purchase also in Europe. The price has not yet been determined, but if it helps you, it will be over the pond 130 dollars.
