Carapace is a luxury 'amphibian' concept that is a superyacht and submarine in one.
Conceptual Carapaces is the fruit of an industrial designer Elena Nappi. A combination greatyachts and submarines sees as future nautical, because in her opinion, the future lies precisely in integration luxury, which we enjoy on the yacht, and privacy, which the depths of the sea offer us. The carapace is long 78 meters and can sink to depth 300 meters. It can stay submerged up to 10 days, while providing an unforgettable view of life below sea level. Carapace will drive diesel-electric hybrid engine, and the structure will be made of easy aluminum.
We will find it on Carapace three 'floors', and on them cabins for guests, a corner for relaxation, a wellness center, a bar and more. The superyacht will be suitable for private vacation or for business meetings, in which it is desirable perfect secrecy. The question is whether Carapace will ever see the light of day and become something more than that concept. At the moment, the technology is not yet developed enough for such a large-scale project. And even if she was, she would be the price of such a vessel in all probability hundreds of millions of euros.
