After the triumphant conquest of North Korea, also immortalized in the high-profile film Liberation Day, the cult local band Laibach returned with their first studio album after the 2014 hit Spectre. Also Sprach Zarathustra's 20th studio album, which is already receiving praise from critics all over the world, will be premiered on our soil at Kino Šiška, and of course the performance will be supplemented with other compositions from their extensive repertoire.

At the three-day music festival Grajska muzika, three popular bands, which are particularly at home in the rivers of rock music, will present themselves: Miha Guštin - Gušti z gosti, Hamo & Tribute 2 Love and the Society of Dead Poets. The concerts will take place between September 14 and 16, 2017 at Ljubljana Castle. Tickets, which also include a return cable car ticket, are on sale now.
At the end of October, an internationally renowned running event awaits us, this time the 22nd Ljubljana Marathon. The Volkswagen Ljubljana Marathon 2017 will thus unite runners from all over the world, and we wonder if some record will be broken?

Between September 12 and 16, the 20th jubilee Slovenian film festival will take place in Portorož, where the highlights of last year's Slovenian film production will be on display. At this year's festival, 84 films from the official program and 13 films from the accompanying program will be shown, totaling as many as 97 films, which testify to the rich film creativity of our filmmakers.

The long and hot summer will end this year in Ljubljana with a long and hot weekend, when the sky above Pogačarjev trg will once again be filled with intoxicating aromas at the second and last Beer and Burger Fest of the year. On Saturday and Sunday, October 14 and 15, beers will collide here in all their coldness and burgers in all their deliciousness.
From August 28 to September 10, Ljubljana's burger providers will be selling burgers with the label Dobrodelni burger. The label will be given to burgers specially created for this purpose, which you have not been able to taste until now. From each burger, you will thus donate 1 euro to a selected non-governmental organization.
A good three weeks after London's Great British Beer Festival, 20 British small and medium-sized breweries will present themselves in Ljubljana, focusing their knowledge and passion on brewing kraft and "real ale" beer.
