The Fotopub photography festival in Novomeje, with its fundamental premises, such as the presentation of Slovenian and foreign photographers of the younger generation, the placement of contemporary Slovenian photography on the national and global map, and the active involvement of the professional and lay public, represents a more than necessary platform for connecting and constructive dialogue between young people, established creators and their older colleagues.

Since the beginning, in 1997, the Mladi levi festival has tried to capture the spirit of the times, recognize the atmosphere in society and artistic production, and at the same time anticipate the topics and challenges of the coming time through a selection of young, rising and more established stage creators.
