Connected Cycle created the Connected Pedal, a modest-looking smart bike pedal that packs a range of GPS and GPRS tricks: as soon as the pedal starts spinning, sensors are activated and start recording the bike's journey. The smart bicycle pedal thus prevents bicycle theft and records the speed, distance, incline and calories of each cycling route. It begins its successful journey at this year's CES 2015.
Connected Pedal, created at Connected Cycle it is smart bicycle pedal, which measures climbs and cycling speed and the user through the application, it provides data on its effort and calories consumed. Since the data is stored in the pedal, there is no need to take a phone with us on every ride in order to be able to monitor our activity. The smart pedal also does not need to be charged, as energy is generated by the rotation itself.

And the tracking features also serve as useful safety feature: if someone steals a bike, the application immediately informs where our bike is going - this is also convenient in cases where we forget where we locked the bike. While the Connected Pedal can be installed without special tools, you can removed only after entering the code into the application.
Smart Bike Pedal is currently shown on CES 2015 in Las Vegas, the price and the day when it will be on the shelves is not yet available.
