Coleen

CES 2019 does not only serve entertainment electronics, but also something else. Even in the electronic world, design has its place, and one such presentation is the Coleen bike, which will present the pleasure of urban mobility anew.

Electrical bike Coleen made in France and boasting I dare, elegant but nevertheless vintage by design. The inspiration for its design was found in a well-known French designer To Jean Prouvé. The geometry of the frame is similar to the 'drivers' that were the forerunners of bicycles and were popular in Paris, in 1861. The same geometry was revived in 1941 by Jean Prouvé, who for the needs of French workers designed the wheel.

This summer, the Coleen bike will be launched, which already acts as a timeless design icon. With its image, it will appeal even to those who are not cyclists at heart and also to those who are not design purists. Technical performance also matches the design. A battery that consists of 42 cells, should have 94% efficiency and should, on average, have enough energy for 100 kilometers a long way. To charge from 0% to 100% we only need two and a half hours time.

The electric motor is heavy 2.5 kilograms and provides 50 newton meters of torque. The Coleen bike is equipped with an electronic start system that is controlled via applications on a smartphone. Basic information as is distance traveled, filling batteries and speed, we can understand at digital screen on a bike. The bike is not only designed, but also manufactured in France. It combines light construction with high quality and style.
